WANT TO INCREASE YOUR ACHIEVEMENT IN BUSINESS, SCHOOL, OR SOCIAL SETTINGS?

HOW TO GET THERE FROM HERE

It is difficult to ignore the power and allure of strong communication skills and a strong voice. Confident, decisive, organized speech can make an enormous difference in the way we are viewed by our friends and peers as well as our employers, and can open doors in social and vocational circles that might never be opened otherwise.

AOS understands the real, practical ways in which people at each stage of their communication development can improve their message delivery, presentation, and conversational skills regardless of age, or profession or any impairment.

OUR APPROACH TO PROFESSIONAL SPEAKING

  • INDIVIDUAL COACHING

Individual-level training can address unique issues at various stages of leadership, as it emphasizes the continuum of skills taught overall to groups.

AOS programs contain methods and resources that reinforce new and emerging skills, and encourage individual practice and immediate use of the skills in order to measure the attainment of the individual’s stated goals. We have found that the most respectful effective approach to training combines workshops with individual-level work.

  • WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS

Interaction is a key component of training and AOS focuses heavily on it in our workshops and seminars. Adults in particular need practical, frequently hands-on learning that actively reinforces course concepts.

AOS recognizes research on the brain that views opportunities for learners to engage as supporting the highest levels of memory and retention of the information. Interactivity can be promoted in workshops with tools like intake forms, and can be encouraged in practice by applying methods to real scenarios where skills must be utilized.

  • REINFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES

Retention of instruction is critical to our clients’ success.

To ensure that our clients retain the skills they develop and remain able to build upon those skills independently down the road, AOS uses tools and resources we constantly update that will encourage good independent learning habits and provide a concrete method by which to attain measurable, tangible results.

  • BROADCASTING

Speech-language looks at more than just the voice, it examines the factors that go into creating that voice. Cumulative effects of voice usage or “vocal load,” medications and general physical health, pollution and local weather conditions, and repeated exposure to pressurized, recirculated air (“airplane air”) all can have dramatic effects on one’s ability to speak.
